DESCRIPTION:BSIS EXPOSED FIREARMS PERMIT\nREQUALIFICATIONS\nPersons complet
 ing a range requalification must complete a two-hour review course prior t
 o firing on the range. The two-hour review course must be administered by 
 a BSIS Firearms Training certified firearms instructor. An applicant shall
  complete and pass the review training course on the laws and standards re
 garding use of deadly force\, avoidance of deadly force\, and de-escalatio
 n of force. All required classroom training shall be completed prior to at
 tempting each range qualification. The permit holder shall complete a rang
 e qualification by firing fifty (50) rounds with a passing score. On two (
 2) separate occasions\, at least four months apart\, within each twelve- m
 onth period before the permit expires\, and with at least one (1) of the r
 ange qualifications in each twelve-month period completed using live ammun
 ition. Permit holders must complete each required range qualification for 
 each caliber of firearm listed on the permit. Failure to complete the twic
 e-a-year course review and range requalification may result in the permit 
 holder being ineligible to renew the firearms permit upon expiration.\nREN
 EWAL\nFirearm permits expire two years from the date of issuance. Thereaft
 er\, in order to possess a valid firearm permit\, the permit must be renew
 ed. Applicants wishing to renew a firearm permit must file an application 
 for renewal at least 60 days before the date of expiration. Firearm permit
 s may be renewed under the following conditions. The licensee or registran
 t has filed a completed application for renewal\, signed and dated under p
 enalty of perjury\, certifying that information on the application is true
  and correct. The licensee or registrant has successfully passed the writt
 en examination contained in the Firearm Training Manual issued by the Depa
 rtment of Consumer Affairs and taught at a bureau-certified facility. The 
 passing score is 85 percent or at least 44 correct answers out of 52 quest
 ions. The licensee or registrant has completed all required range requalif
 ications within the required time frames and has requalified on the range 
 using the same firing sequence prescribed for the initial student\, using 
 targets that meet the requirements.\nADD CALIBER\nBSIS has determined that
  the only legal pathway to add a caliber to an existing firearms permit un
 der current Bureau law and regulations is for the permit holder to complet
 e the course of training in the carrying and use of a firearm required to 
 obtain an initial firearm permit\, as prescribed by\, the completion of at
  least 8 hours of classroom instruction on the carrying and use of a firea
 rm\, passing a Bureau-approved written firearm exam with a minimum score o
 f 85%\, and discharging 50 rounds a minimum of two (2) times\, one (1) rou
 nd for practice and one (1) round for score. Each applicant must submit to
  BSIS an application with appropriate fees. BSIS approvals are generally i
 ssued in approximately 4 weeks.\n\nDown Range Logistics\, TFF-1548\n\n&nbs

 ng your CURRENT BSIS permits.\n\nBSIS only recognizes 9mm\, 38/357\, 40\, 
 and 45\, for their permits.\n\nBring an extra $10 for each handgun you int
 ent to qualify with.
