SUMMARY:Defensive Rifle I
DESCRIPTION:Defensive Rifle I is for those already familiar with their rifl
 e\, and building upon everything they learned in a Basic Rifle class. This
  class is designed to get you up to speed with the proper and safe use of 
 a sling\, reloading\, clearing malfunctions\, introduction to rifle-handgu
 n transition\, and self-defense mindset and concepts while prepping you fo
 r real world scenarios.\n\nOver the course of eight hours\, our friendly i
 nstructors will combine classroom and range time to establish good habits 
 and proper fundamentals through topics such as:\n\n*Rifle purpose\, select
 ion\, consideration for method of carry and materials available.\n*Proper 
 procedure for loading and unloading\, slinged carrying and use\, storage\,
  and transportation of a firearm/ammunition.\n*Reloading drills and Malfun
 ction drills\, to include alternative reload and malfunction clearance and
  loading procedures.\n*An introduction to cover and concealment\, and the 
 use thereof\n*Moving and shooting\n*Self Defense Concepts\n*Multiple drill
 s under time and distance and other artificial stressors\n*Safety as an en
 grained mindset\n\nPrerequisites:\n\nBasic Rifle course or equivalent. Stu
 dents should be able to provide a certificate(s) of completion of a traini
 ng course(s) similar to Defensive Rifle I. Acceptance of any student’s p
 rior training or qualifications as meeting the prerequisites for this cour
 se is at the sole discretion of the lead instructor. Submit any questions 
 and or previous training documentation to brian@threatscenarios.com\n\nStu
 dents who do not demonstrate an adequate level of safety or comprehension 
 of the class material may be invited to return to a later class after comp
 leting some additional training.\n\nAll students must be legally able to p
 ossess a firearm in the State of California.\n\nWhat to Bring: \n\nGear: E
 ar protection (plugs or muffs\, electronic muffs preferred)\, eye protecti
 on (wrap around glasses or glasses with some form of side protection prefe
 rred). Athletic shoes. We’ll be using an outdoor range so check the weat
 her and dress accordingly. Class proceeds rain or shine\, and will only be
  cancelled if the conditions become unsafe.  \n\nFirearm: Reliable (pref
 erably semi-automatic) rifle with at least 4 magazines and at least 300 ro
 unds\;\nReliable semi-automatic handgun with at least 3 magazines or revol
 ver speed loaders and at least 300 rounds of ammunition. \n\nHolster and 
 Magazine Pouch: A proper holster for your handgun and on-the-belt mag pouc
 hes are mandatory. They should be reliable\, made of a solid common materi
 al\, in good working condition. An outside the waistband\, hard-sided hols
 ter that does not close on itself when the gun is removed is required. Ser
 pa-type holsters with a button on the side that must be pressed to release
  the gun are prohibited.  Magazine holders should be of similar composit
 ion. \n\nOne of our staff members will provide more details about the clas
 s\, exact location\, and ammo\, in a confirmation email that will be sent 
 approximately 1 week before the class date.\n\nPersonal: Bring your own lu
 nch and any personally required items\nClosed-toe shoes and long pants are
  required\; lightweight long sleeve shirts are encouraged\; a hat is recom
 mended.\n\nClass Cost: $325.00\n\nHandgun and/or Rifle rental kits may be
