DESCRIPTION:** THIS CLASS HAS MOVED FROM RICHMOND ROD AND GUN CLUB in Richm
 ond to UNITED SPORTSMAN'S ASSOCIATION in Concord **\n\nDefensive Rifle I i
 s for those already familiar with their rifle\, and building upon everythi
 ng they learned in a Basic Rifle class. This class is designed to get you 
 up to speed with the proper and safe use of a sling\, reloading\, clearing
  malfunctions\, introduction to rifle-handgun transition\, and self-defens
 e mindset and concepts while prepping you for real world scenarios.\n\nOve
 r the course of eight hours\, our friendly instructors will combine classr
 oom and range time to establish good habits and proper fundamentals throug
 h topics such as:\n\n*Rifle purpose\, selection\, consideration for method
  of carry and materials available.\n*Proper procedure for loading and unlo
 ading\, slinged carrying and use\, storage\, and transportation of a firea
 rm/ammunition.\n*Reloading drills and Malfunction drills\, to include alte
 rnative reload and malfunction clearance and loading procedures.\n*An intr
 oduction to cover and concealment\, and the use thereof\n*Moving and shoot
 ing\n*Self Defense Concepts\n*Multiple drills under time and distance and 
 other artificial stressors\n*Safety as an engrained mindset\n\nPrerequisit
 es:\n\nBasic Rifle course or equivalent. Students should be able to provid
 e a certificate(s) of completion of a training course(s) similar to Defens
 ive Rifle I. Acceptance of any student’s prior training or qualification
 s as meeting the prerequisites for this course is at the sole discretion o
 f the lead instructor. Submit any questions and or previous training docum
 entation to brian@threatscenarios.com\n\nStudents who do not demonstrate a
 n adequate level of safety or comprehension of the class material may be i
 nvited to return to a later class after completing some additional trainin
 g.\n\nAll students must be legally able to possess a firearm in the State 
 of California.\n\nWhat to Bring: \n\nGear: Ear protection (plugs or muffs\
 , electronic muffs preferred)\, eye protection (wrap around glasses or gla
 sses with some form of side protection preferred). Athletic shoes. We’ll
  be using an outdoor range so check the weather and dress accordingly. Cla
 ss proceeds rain or shine\, and will only be cancelled if the conditions b
 ecome unsafe.  \n\nFirearm: Reliable (preferably semi-automatic) rifle w
 ith at least 4 magazines and at least 300 rounds\;\nReliable semi-automati
 c handgun with at least 3 magazines or revolver and at least 300 rounds of
  ammunition. \n\nHolster and Magazine Pouch: A proper holster for your ha
 ndgun and on-the-belt mag pouches are mandatory. They should be reliable\,
  made of a solid common material\, in good working condition. An outside t
 he waistband\, hard-sided holster that does not close on itself when the g
 un is removed is required. Magazine holders should be of similar compositi
 on. \n\nOne of our staff members will provide more details about the class
 \, exact location\, and ammo\, in a confirmation email that will be sent a
 pproximately 1 week before the class date.\n\nPersonal: Bring your own lun
 ch and any personally required items\nClosed-toe shoes and long pants are 
 required\; lightweight long sleeve shirts are encouraged\; a hat is recomm
 ended.\n\nClass Cost: $300.00\n\nHandgun and/or Rifle rental kits may be a
