SUMMARY:Defensive Rifle II
DESCRIPTION:Defensive Rifle II is intended for students with an operational
  knowledge of their slinged rifle\, relatively proficient with reloading a
 nd clearing malfunctions\, transitions between it and a holstered handgun\
 , and use of cover and concealment when deploying a rifle. \n\nOver the co
 urse of eight hours\, our friendly instructors will combine classroom and 
 range time to establish good habits and proper fundamentals through topics
  such as:\n\n*A brief review of proper procedures for loading and unloadin
 g\, slinged carrying and use\, storage\, transportation of a firearm/ammun
 ition\; Reloading drills and Malfunction drills\, to include alternative r
 eload and malfunction clearance and loading procedures\; Cover and conceal
 ment\, and the use thereof\; Moving and shooting\; Self Defense concepts\n
 *Tactical considerations\n*Small team and small unit considerations\n*Mult
 iple drills involving single person and multiple person shooters\, under t
 ime and distance and other artificial stressors and multiple targets\n*Tra
 nsitioning between rifle\, handgun\, and back while engaging targets while
  stationary and moving\n*Safety as an engrained mindset\n\nThe Defensive R
 ifle series is designed to take students from static line shooting into ap
 plying their skills in a real-world environment.  Through the supervision
  of our instructors\, you will learn how to fight back with a rifle and ha
 ndgun while under stress.\n\nPrerequisites:\n\nDefensive Rifle I or simila
 r course. Students should be able to provide a certificate(s) of completio
 n of a training course(s) similar to Defensive Rifle I. Acceptance of any 
 student’s prior training or qualifications as meeting the prerequisites 
 for this course is at the sole discretion of the lead instructor. Submit a
 ny questions and or previous training documentation to brian@threatscenari
 os.com\n\nStudents who do not demonstrate an adequate level of safety or c
 omprehension of the class material may be invited to return to a later cla
 ss after completing some additional training.\n\nAll students must be lega
 lly able to possess a firearm in the State of California.\n\nWhat to Bring
 :\n\nGear: Ear protection (electronic is preferred)\, eye protection (wrap
  around glasses or glasses with some form of side protection preferred)\; 
 athletic shoes\, boots\, or cleats.\nWe shoot outdoors so check the weathe
 r and dress accordingly. Class will proceed rain or shine\, unless the con
 ditions become unsafe.\n\nFirearm: Reliable (preferably semi-automatic) ri
 fle with at least 4 magazines and at least 300 rounds\;\nReliable semi-aut
 omatic handgun with at least 3 magazines or revolver and at least 300 roun
 ds of ammunition. \n\nHolster and Magazine Holders/Pouches: A rigid OUTSI
 DE THE WAISTBAND holster that does not collapse when the firearm is remove
 d\, and at least two magazine or speed loader pouches. Holsters must be wo
 rn on the hip or thigh on the strong side\; and magazine holders must be w
 orn on the belt. Serpa-type holsters with a release button that must be ac
 tivated by the user's trigger finger are not allowed.\n\nPersonal: Bring y
 our own lunch (there will be a 30-minute break). There is not enough time 
 to leave and return. Cold water will be provided.\nClosed-toe shoes and lo
 ng pants are required\; lightweight long sleeve shirts are encouraged\; a 
 hat is recommended.\n\n\nCLASS COST: $300.00\n\nHandgun and/or Rifle renta
