SUMMARY:First Steps Basic Pistol - Women's Class
DESCRIPTION:The Combined First Steps and Basic Pistol class is designed for
  students who are complete beginners to the principles of safely handling\
 , maintaining\, and firing a handgun. Over the course of an eight hour day
 \, our friendly instructors will combine classroom and range time to estab
 lish good habits and proper fundamentals such as:\n\n*Range and home safet
 y rules.\n*Proper procedure for loading/unloading\, cleaning\, storage\, a
 nd transportation of a firearm/ammunition.\n*Basics of sight alignment\, a
 s well as grip\, stance\, breathing\, and trigger control.\n*Refinement of
  accuracy\, and how to self-improve when shooting groups at various distan
 ces.\n*Alternative firing positions.\n*Rapid fire for those who are ready.
 \n\nThis program has at its core a time-tested NRA certified curriculum\, 
 and will serve to establish a solid groundwork of technique and knowledge 
 for new or prospective handgun owners.\n\nPrerequisites:\n\nAll students m
 ust be legally able to possess a firearm in the State of California.\n\n\n
 What to Bring:\n\nGear: Ear protection (plugs or muffs)\, eye protection (
 wrap around glasses or glasses with some form of side protection preferred
 ). Athletic shoes. It's an outdoor range so check the weather and dress ac
 cordingly. Class proceeds rain or shine and will only be cancelled or post
 poned if the conditions present a safety hazard.\n\nFirearm: Bring a relia
 ble semi-automatic handgun or revolver and at least 300 rounds of ammuniti
 on.  \n\nRental firearm packages are available. Each package contains a m
 odern\, reliable handgun such as a Glock (most of our handguns are 9mm cal
 iber)\, three magazines\, electronic ear protection\, safety glasses\, and
  speed loader. Ammo is NOT included\, but that option is available - see d
 etails in the options below when you click 'Book Now'.\nIf you would like 
 to reserve a rental package\, please select the handgun rental below.\nDep
 ending on supply\, ammo may be available for students to purchase at class
 .\n\nOne of our staff members will provide more details about the class\, 
 exact location\, and ammo\, in a confirmation email that will be sent appr
 oximately 1 week before the class date.\n\nPersonal: Bring your own lunch 
 (there will be a 30 minute break). Snacks and water will be provided.\n\nW
 here to Go:\n\nThis class will be held at United Sportsmen's Incorporated 
 in Concord. Portions are open to the public\; we will be on the non-public
  'training bay'. We will start at 9am sharp and continue to around 4pm\, f
 ollowed by a roundtable discussion of the day's learning. Please arrive 15
  minutes before the class starts.\n\nPRIOR TO THE DAY OF CLASS: \nALL stu
 dents must complete USI's safety brief\, waiver\, and exam at: https://uni
 tedsportsmen.com/waiver/\n\nStudents may retire before 4pm and are welcome
  to leave at any time. It’s better to quit early than to practice making
