SUMMARY:First Steps Basic Pistol - Women's Class
DESCRIPTION:The Combined First Steps and Basic Pistol class is designed for
  students who are complete beginners to the principles of safely handling\
 , maintaining\, and firing a handgun. Over the course of an eight hour day
 \, our friendly instructors will combine classroom and range time to estab
 lish good habits and proper fundamentals such as:\n\n*Range and home safet
 y rules.\n*Proper procedure for loading/unloading\, cleaning\, storage\, a
 nd transportation of a firearm/ammunition.\n*Basics of sight alignment\, a
 s well as grip\, stance\, breathing\, and trigger control.\n*Refinement of
  accuracy\, and how to self-improve when shooting groups at various distan
 ces.\n*Alternative firing positions.\n*Rapid fire for those who are ready.
 \n\nThis program has at its core a time-tested NRA certified curriculum\, 
 and will serve to establish a solid groundwork of technique and knowledge 
 for new or prospective handgun owners.\n\nPrerequisites:\n\nAll students m
 ust be legally able to possess a firearm in the State of California.\n\n\n
 What to Bring:\n\nGear: Ear protection (plugs or muffs)\, eye protection (
 wrap around glasses or glasses with some form of side protection preferred
 ). Athletic shoes. It's an outdoor range so check the weather and dress ac
 cordingly. We run rain or shine.  \n\nFirearm: Bring a reliable semi-aut
 omatic handgun or revolver and at least 300 rounds of ammunition.  \n\nRe
 ntal firearm packages are available. Each package contains a modern\, reli
 able handgun such as a Glock (most of our handguns are 9mm caliber)\, thre
 e magazines\, electronic ear protection\, safety glasses\, and speed loade
 r. Ammo is NOT included. The rental package is $45 for the day. If you wou
 ld like to reserve a rental package\, please select the handgun rental bel
 ow. Depending on supply\, ammo may be available for students to purchase a
 t class.\n\nOne of our staff members will provide more details about the c
 lass\, exact location\, and ammo\, in a confirmation email that will be se
 nt approximately 1 week before the class date.\n\nPersonal: Bring your own
  lunch (there will be a 45 minute break). Snacks and water will be provide
 d.\n\nWhere to Go:\n\nWe will be using the Hillside Private Property\, whi
 ch is located a short drive from central American Canyon. It is not open t
 o the public\, and its exact location will only be disclosed to students o
 f the class.  We will start at 9am sharp and continue to around 4pm. Plea
 se try to arrive 15 minutes before the class starts.\n\nStudents may retir
 e before 4pm and are welcome to leave at any time. It’s better to quit e
 arly than to practice making mistakes due to fatigue.\n\nCLASS COST: $145.
