SUMMARY:First Steps Basic Pistol - YOUTH Class
DESCRIPTION:This class is geared for YOUTH participants\, 18 years old and 
 younger. The minimum recommended age is 7 years old.\n\nALL youth particip
 ants\, regardless of their age or maturity\, must be accompanied by an adu
 lt 21 years old or older.\n\n** You know your child/youth better than anyo
 ne\, and the maturity level of one youth to the next may vary greatly. The
  class will contain a  classroom lecture\, followed by dry practice\, and
  ultimately live fire. Individuals not exhibiting proper safe behavior may
  not be allowed to fire live rounds\, and may be asked to leave or return 
 on a later class date.\n\nWHEN REGISTERING\, list the youth participant's 
 name first\, followed by Adult: [insert the adult's name]\n\nThe Combined 
 First Steps and Basic Pistol class is designed for students who are comple
 te beginners to the principles of safely handling\, maintaining\, and firi
 ng a handgun. Over the course of an eight hour day\, our friendly instruct
 ors will combine classroom and range time to establish good habits and pro
 per fundamentals such as:\n\n*Range and home safety rules.\n*Proper proced
 ure for loading/unloading\, cleaning\, storage\, and transportation of a f
 irearm/ammunition.\n*Basics of sight alignment\, as well as grip\, stance\
 , breathing\, and trigger control.\n*Refinement of accuracy\, and how to s
 elf-improve when shooting groups at various distances.\n*Alternative firin
 g positions.\n*Rapid fire for those who are ready.\n\nThis program has at 
 its core a time-tested NRA certified curriculum\, and will serve to establ
 ish a solid groundwork of technique and knowledge for new or prospective h
 andgun owners.\n\nPrerequisites:\n\nAll students must be legally able to p
 ossess a firearm in the State of California.\n\n\nWhat to Bring:\n\nGear: 
 Ear protection (plugs or muffs\, however electronic are preferred)\, eye p
 rotection (wrap around glasses or glasses with some form of side protectio
 n preferred). Athletic shoes. It's an outdoor range so check the weather a
 nd dress accordingly. Class will proceed rain or shine unless the conditio
 ns become unsafe.  \n\nFirearm: Bring a reliable semi-automatic handgun 
 or revolver and at least 200 rounds of ammunition.  \n\nRental firearm pa
 ckages are available. Each package contains a modern\, reliable handgun su
 ch as a Glock (most of our handguns are 9mm caliber)\, three magazines\, e
 lectronic ear protection\, safety glasses\, and speed loader. Ammo is NOT 
 included. The rental package is $45 for the day. If you would like to rese
 rve a rental package\, please select the handgun rental below.\nThere is a
 n alternate Rental Kit now available\, which contains a Glock model 44 han
 dgun in .22 caliber\, as well as 200 rounds of .22 ammo.\nDepending on sup
 ply\, ammo may be available for students to purchase at class.\n\nOne of o
 ur staff members will provide more details about the class\, exact locatio
 n\, and ammo\, in a confirmation email that will be sent approximately 1 w
 eek before the class date.\n\nPersonal: Bring your own lunch (there will b
 e a 30 minute break). Cold water will be provided.\n\nWhere to Go:\n\nWe w
 ill be using the Hillside Private Property\, which is located a short driv
 e from central American Canyon. It is not open to the public\, and its exa
 ct location will only be disclosed to students of the class.  We will sta
 rt at 9am sharp and continue to around 4pm\, followed by a roundtable disc
 ussion of the day's learning. Please try to arrive 15 minutes before the c
 lass starts.\n\nStudents may retire before 4pm and are welcome to leave at
  any time. It’s better to quit early than to practice making mistakes du
 e to fatigue.\n\nCLASS COST: $145.00  (Handgun Rental Kit options are als
