DESCRIPTION:Defensive Handgun 1 is the "Next Steps" in your training\, buil
 ding upon everything you learned in First Steps Basic Pistol. This class i
 s designed to get you Up to Speed with the Safe use of a Holster and Magaz
 ine Pouch\, Handgun Fundamentals/ Precision Shooting\, Comfortable Moving 
 and Shooting with a Handgun\, How to use Cover and Concealment\, Self Defe
 nse Mind Set and Concepts while prepping you for real world scenarios.\n\n
 Over the course of four hours\, our friendly instructors will combine clas
 sroom and range time to establish good habits and proper fundamentals such
  as:\n\n*Holster purpose\, selection\, consideration for method of carry a
 nd materials available.\n*Proper procedure for loading and unloading\, hol
 stering and unholstering\, storage\, and transportation of a firearm/ammun
 ition.\n*Malfunction drills\, to include alternative malfunction clearance
  and loading procedures\n*An introduction to cover and concealment\, and t
 he use thereof\n* Moving and shooting / Self Defense Concepts\n\nPrerequis
 ites:\n\nFirst Steps Basic Pistol Class\, CCW or Equivalent Class \n\nAll
  students must be legally able to possess a firearm in the State of Califo
 rnia.\n\n\nWhat to Bring:   (handgun rental with all equipment needed fo
 r class is available at checkout) \n\nGear: Ear protection (plugs or muff
 s\, electronic muffs preferred)\, eye protection (wrap around glasses or g
 lasses with some form of side protection preferred). Athletic shoes. It's 
 an outdoor range so check the weather and dress accordingly. Class proceed
 s rain or shine\, and will only be cancelled if the conditions become unsa
 fe.  \n\nFirearm: Bring a reliable semi-automatic handgun with at least 
 3 magazines or revolver and at least 200 rounds of ammunition. \n\nHolste
 r and Magazine Pouch: A holster for your handgun and mag pouch is mandator
 y. They should be reliable\, made of a solid common material\, in good wor
 king condition. An outside the waistband\, hard-sided holster that does no
 t close on itself when the gun is removed is strongly preferred. \n\nOne 
 of our staff members will provide more details about the class\, exact loc
 ation\, and ammo\, in a confirmation email that will be sent approximately
  1 week before the class date.\n\nPersonal: Bring your own lunch and any p
 ersonally required items. .\n\nWhere to Go:\n\nWe will be using the Hillsi
 de Private Property\, which is located a short drive from central American
  Canyon. It is not open to the public\, and its exact location will only b
 e disclosed to students of the class.  We will start at 12:00pm sharp and
  continue to around 4 or 4:30pm. Please try to arrive 15 minutes before th
 e class starts.\n\nCLASS COST: $145.00      (option for Handgun Rental
