Linden Gun Range
The Performance Handgun class is a skills tuneup for intermediate level and above shooters who are looking to improve their ability to accurately and quickly hit targets in difficult conditions and under stress. Students will go through a variety of drills to designed to evaluate and advance their technique. Over our full day course, you will:
*Test accuracy at distance and at close range with various target sizes.
*Refine proper grip and body positioning for rapid follow up shots.
*Learn different styles of sight pictures and transitions
*Develop speed in snap shooting with multiple targets.
*Employ the concept of acceptable accuracy
This is not a “tactical mindset” class. We leave tactics/stress inoculation for force on force training within our shoothouse. While we fully intend to challenge your limits and push them to the next level, we will not be shouting at you and making you roll around in the dirt. Our goal is not to leave you with bruises, scrapes, and a story to tell. Instead, we want you to come away with a plan of action for what to focus on and how to correctly practice in order to improve in defense, recreation, or competition.
Ability to safely manipulate a handgun under stress.
Ability to consistently shoot a 8″ group at 10 yards with one shot every 1-2 seconds.
Ability to safely and healthfully navigate a live fire course under stress.
What to Bring:
Gear: Ear protection/eye protection (wrap around glasses or glasses with some form of side protection preferred). Bring athletic shoes, boots, or cleats. It’s an outdoor range so check the weather and dress accordingly. We run rain or shine.

Day 2: The Match
The second day of the class will be the monthly USPSA match held by the Linden Competitive Shooting Club. This part of the class is optional and you will need to sign up for that separately through Practiscore noting that you’re part of that class, and will be about another 250 rounds.
Where to Go:
We are using the Linden action bays down the ramp to the 200 yard line and to the right. We will start at 9am sharp and continue to around 4pm. Please try to arrive 15 minutes before the class starts.
