SUMMARY:PRIVATE EVENT:  Basic Pistol
DESCRIPTION:The Combined First Steps and Basic Pistol class is designed for
  students who are complete beginners to the principles of safely handling\
 , maintaining\, and firing a handgun. Over the course of an eight hour day
 \, our friendly and professional instructors will combine classroom and ra
 nge time to establish good habits and proper fundamentals such as:\n\n*Ran
 ge and home safety rules.\n*Proper procedure for loading/unloading\, clean
 ing\, storage\, and transportation of a firearm/ammunition.\n*Basics of si
 ght alignment\, as well as grip\, stance\, breathing\, and trigger control
 .\n*Refinement of accuracy\, and how to self-improve when shooting groups 
 at various distances.\n*Alternative firing positions.\n*Rapid fire for tho
 se who are ready.\n\nThis program has at its core a time-tested NRA certif
 ied curriculum\, and will serve to establish a solid groundwork of techniq
 ue and knowledge for new or prospective handgun owners.\n\nPrerequisites:\
 n\nAll students must be legally able to possess a firearm in the State of 
 California.\n\n\nWhat to Bring:\n\nGear: Ear protection (electronic requir
 ed)\, eye protection (wrap around glasses or glasses with some form of sid
 e protection preferred). Athletic shoes. This is an outdoor range so check
  the weather and dress accordingly. We run rain or shine.  \n\nFirearm: 
 Bring a reliable semi-automatic handgun or revolver and at least 300 round
 s of ammunition.  \n\nRental firearm packages are available. Each package
  contains a modern\, reliable handgun such as a Glock\, in either .22 or 9
 mm caliber\; three magazines\; electronic ear protection\; safety glasses\
 ; and a speed loader. Ammo is NOT included. The rental package is $50.00 f
 or the day. If you would like to reserve a rental package\, please select 
 the handgun rental below. Rental Kits WITH ammo are available - select the
  desired option below (9mm or .22 caliber)\n\nDepending on supply\, ammo m
 ay be available for students to purchase at class. However\, whenever poss
 ible\, students should purchase sufficient ammo prior to class. Our parent
  company\, 29 Outdoor Gear\, in American Canyon\, is a great resource for 
 ammunition - tell the store associates you are taking a Threat Scenarios c
 lass.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nOne of our staff members will provide more details abo
 ut the class in a confirmation email that will be sent approximately 1-2 w
 eeks before the class date.\n\nPersonal: Bring your own lunch - there is n
 ot sufficient time to leave and return. Snacks and water will be provided.
 \n\nStudents may retire before 5pm and are welcome to leave at any time. I
 t’s better to quit early than to practice while making mistakes due to f
