Our Gunfighting Class series is designed for students who have an interest in learning speed shooting fundamentals and working on handgun retention techniques and CQB handgun defense. Over the the one day course you will learn things such as:
*Proper stance and grip for speed shooting
*The concept of acceptable accuracy
*Target focused shooting techniques
*CCW defense against weapons
*Handgun retention techniques and strikes
All students must be legally able to possess a firearm in the State of California.
At least a basic understanding of firearms safety rules.
Ability to safely manipulate your firearm.
What to Bring:
Gear: Ear protection (plugs or muffs), eye protection (wrap around glasses or glasses with some form of side protection preferred). Athletic shoes. It’s an outdoor range so check the weather and dress accordingly. We run rain or shine.
Firearm: Bring a reliable semi-automatic handgun or revolver and at least 250 rounds of ammunition.
REQUIRED: A holster and magazine pouches on a belt. While drawing and reloading is not part of the curriculum, it’s highly suggested that each student bring the gear that they either carry or train with to get the most out of the class.
Where to Go:
We will be using the Hillside Private Property, which is located a short drive from central American Canyon. It is not open to the public, and its exact location will only be disclosed to students of the class. We will start at 9am sharp and continue to around 4pm. Please try to arrive 15 minutes before the class starts.
